10 Years of Fleishman Hillard KL

This video was made for the 10 Years anniversary of FHKL.

I almost cried watching this video. So touching although I've only been a part of them briefly. I am so honoured and proud to have been part of The FHKL team.

Zee Avi

Was introduced to this video by Jeremy. Her name's Zee Avi, If I'm not wrong, she's from Miri and is currently recording an album with a recording company in LA.

Check out the video. Her voice is so sweet, reminds me of those olden days kinda songs, like P.Ramlee or Saloma or something, close to Norah Jones I would say. There's like 4 or 5 song in this video, I love the third song, Kantoi.

If Were a Boy (Remix - Beyonce feat. R. Kelly)

Just a quick video: one of the most awesome remixes I've heard.

***nospecifictitle***

Yes, yes, I know I've not been blogging for way too long.

Updates of my life... here goes:

1. Internship at Fleishman Hillard ended last week
2. College starts tomorrow
3. In charge of the college music society now (wondering whether to give up)
4. Ate at Italiannies twice since I last blogged, plus awesome all you can eat dimsum at Pavillion.
5. Been dealing a lot with Malaysia Airlines, through the company I was working for.
6. Met with big time local bloggers a few times through the MAS events including one last night.
7. Tried out the baked chicken bacon wrap recipe which turned out quite well.
Baked Chiken and Bacon wrap.
8. Really pissed with the computer and hoping to get a laptop soon.

My 13 weeks internship at Fleishman Hillard KL has oficially ended last week. Really didn't mind goin on for a while more but had some other responsibilities in college and so on. Back to college tomorrow for the final year of studies before going off to Liverpool.

In college, I'm the new chairman of the music society. Long story short: I didn't know nuts about the society...it sort of died off...SAD wanted to revive it...called me...I said yes...the end.
Last Wednesday we had our Society day, recruiting freshmen to the society. Won second place for Best Performance, thanks to Aryton and his cousin. I sucked.

Food...fooooodddd. I guess I'm beginning to become a foodie. I have seemed to developed a urge to try new food at new places. Anyway, I've like grew fatter since I started my internship, coz the food at Mid Valley are good. Oh well, time to diet. Had Italliannies twice, Carl's Jr twice plus a whole lot of good food. Plus, I went to this all you can eat dim sum buffet at LiJin, Pavillion. I would recommend the place to all.

For my birthday last month, my family and I went to this North Korean restaurant along Jln Ampang for dinner. I was real authentic Nort Korean food. And all the waitress there are from North Korea. Don't ask me how they managed to get out of that shithole of a country and landed up here. But they were beautiful, pretty, talented, sweet...everything perfect. My gawd, guys, you'll drool not because of the food. I trid taking picturres of them, but was asked to delete it immediately due to security reasons for them, seeing that they are from North Kore after all.
Some North Korean dish
One of the events when I was at FH was this MAS In-Flight kitchen tour for bloggers. It was awesome. We went behind the scenes to see how they prepare airline food. And of course, I got to eat till my heart's content.
If you're up for Cendol, try Wahab's Cendol. Expanding from a roadside stall since 1986, you can now find the new shop in Rampai Business Park. Very nice cendol. have it with tapai, pulut, jagung, kacang merah, aiskrim. U suka la.

Since I've been with FH, I've attended three MAS events for bloggers. It was awesome to be meeting Malaysia's top bloggers including KennySia, KampungBoy and CityGal, Wingz, Simon Seow, and so on...

The best was the Cabin Crew Training Experience. It was awesome. Check out the photos.

Dang, what I do for work.

Check out my previous post! That's actually what I had to do for work man. How cool.

It is actually a contest. If you wanna join, here's the link:

http://www.facebook.com/home.php#/pages/Malaysia-Airlines-Travel/52798899711?v=app_4949752878&viewas=584138698

and please do be a fan of the page ya. Make that your birthday present to me. Hahaha.

The Great Escapade, My Fun Travel with MAS!

So here's to begin, I'm on my way to collect my top secret mission message from my top secret, ultra hidden headquarters namely my bedroom. See, I'm really a super secret agent Double-O-Zero-no-Hero. And I'll only have shaken-not-stirred Milo-O. That's a whole lot of O's to begin with eh?

I like blue, its more creative than some other dull but famous colour

Opened the laser sealed envelope and there was a note from my bosses, MummyPappy(not so moneypenny friendly). They have left for our hometown due to a very urgent matter. I had to travel myself, and all I have is...let's see...one, two, three, nuts. I don't have enough money to grab a flight ticket. Hang on, they should leave me at least a ticket in the envelope right? What's this? A MAS stimulus package ad? It's like a mission list/puzzle. How am I to figure this out?

How can this puzzle be? This must not be real. Slap me! Bite me! 80% off domestic and Asean fares? I had to. There was no other way. I had to use it. It was as good as getting money from MummyPappy. I already had my eye fixed on this till I saw...

Balik Kampung!

What kind of deal was it? Oooohh, more low fares, to balik kampung? How super secret agently cool...wait. How is this super secret agently cool? C'mon, you wouldn't even know how a super secret agent travel home, coz they are...SUPER SECRET! I'm sure even super secret agents can't resist this balik kampung deal.
Check out what I packed. My super suit. Kinda looks like IronMan though.

And then I thought to myself as I packed my luggages? Should I pack light? should I prepare myself for the widely known uncomfortable economy class flight? Should I wear comfortably and eat well and sleep first? Just then, I had an enlightenment! It caught my eye. Another clue to the puzzle.

I could enjoy Business Class comfort and service while only flying economy!

Now I feel like a super secret agent. I get to fly Business. Hang on...I am a super secret agent. Wow. I rushed over to catch my flight. And the MAS crew really treated me like I was some big shot. Of course, under all this, I am after all, a super secret agent.
The professional super secret team of agents. Felt so professional with MAS' crew's service.

The flight was all that was promised, even better. It was so satisfying both experience and financially. After all, I am only Agent Double-O-Zero-No-Hero, and not Double-O-Seven. Check it out, his code doesn't even rhyme.

I did reach my kampung safe and sound and satisfied. And my mission. My so so urgent mission? I almost forgot about it while enjoying the fantastically comfortable flight.

It was my Birthday?!!?!
And how special was it to have a MAS logo cake.

They wanted to surprise me this way? Wow! I think the flight was a present itself. More than that if I may say. I love it. Don't get me wrong, I love my family too, but I almost forgot about them while on the plane. So great to have a double celebration. Trust me, the flight was a celebration itself.

I told my family...waitaminute, its turning out to be a family story instead of a super secret agent mission log.

I told my super secret team about the flight and the awesome deals by MAS. Guess what, they already knew about it. In fact, they already got their return fares all worked out, with great bargains too. "How"? I asked.... no. I begged to know! It was MAS' Grab-a-Deal. Another clue on my puzzle. By signing up with the deal, they could easily get their flights all worked out with the best bargains possible. Wow, this would really save the Super Secret Agency a whole lot of money. See, we save, unlike some "super famous" agent. In your face JB!

Guess what? Little agent bro gets to fly free. FREE?? FREE??? Wow, these clues on my puzzle(which is really just an advertisement), is starting to amaze me. Yea, since there's already two full-fledge agents with tickets, the little one gets to fly free. It is really what it says. Kids Fly Free. Whoa!

I'm almost out of this world! JUMP BACK TO REALITY DUDE!!!
It's really out of this world!

Ok OK, I'm back. I'm just a normal 20 year old. Wow, what an experience. I guess I really thought I was a secret agent. I guess, the unbelievable MAS' deals made me think so. Wow, that was good! I have to say the deals in the MAS' stimulus package really makes it the perfect time to travel. Light on the wallet, Heavy on the experience. I just have one thing to say:

“Man! That was great. This truly is the time to travel!”

Towards Easter

Oh the youths. Great job carrying out two successful events in preparation for Easter. Glad to have been part of the team.

Overnight Vigil 2009

Just as last year, only bigger and better. This time we had youths as young as 13 joining us and also youths from St Josephs. A total of about 150 people tried to stay up throughout the night all for the glory of God. Honestly, we under-estimated the number of prticipants. We were only targeting 50-70. I myself was panicky when I saw the list a day before.

As usual, I helped in the music department. :D This time we had the support of the St Joe guys, with another keyboard to play backups. Awesomeness! Praise and worship as usual. But seriously, by the morning, I was just to sleepy. C'mon, I haven't been sleeping well throughout the week due to work. And now I gotto stay up whole night? I actually played the wrong song la, lost concentration ady. So embarassing. Hahah.

The Praise and Worship Team

The crowd was good, although a there were a lil' problems here and there. No big deal. Activities went according to plan although a lil' timing problem. Here are some photos of the activities such as washing of the feet, a skit, praise and worship, games and so on.

A little note to my dear friends here,

In this holy season of lent, let us remember how our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ suffered and died for us. Humbled himself, took all our sins and the sins of the whole world upon his shoulders. God most mighty, chose to be man, persecuted by His own creation, the very people He loved so much that He was willing to give His life.

As we await the coming of our Lord this Easter, let us do all that we can to spread the Good News of what is to come. Let us share this joyous occasion with those who have yet to know God, to experience his Love.

I believe that in each one of us, we know, and we should search for that one special place in our heart which we can put Jesus, above all other earthly matters. Let that little Jesus in our hearts remind ourselves that whatever we do, we do for the Glory of His precious name and not for our own gain.

We can be proud of what we have achieved, but be proud for the right reasons. Be proud of the fact that we know we have done our best in glorifying God and NOT because we have proved to others that we can do it. Be proud of the fact that we have spread the good news to others, NOT because we have shown others we know about God better than them.

Last but not least, be proud of the fact that our Lord Jesus Christ listens to us, watches over us, cares for us, lives in us and LOVES us!

Remember that it is in God's name that we have become who we are today, as an individual and as a community.

Music Society of TARC??? Now???

The weirdest thing happened to me. You know I love music more than anything. I always wanted to get involved with music performing and stuff. And I have, most of the time in church.

Well this morning, my course-mate, DJ called me and passed me to a lady, Ms Yap, from the Students Affairs Department(SAD-yeah totally sad) of TAR College. Anyway, she was like asking me out of no where, "Would you like to be the chairman of the college music society?"

And I'm like huh??!?!

Gracious me, I was never part of the music society. Not even for their battle of the bands or whatever. I did sign up when I first joined the college 3 years ago as a freshman, paid bloody RM5 to the society for nothing. They did not even SMS me or informed me of meetings or gatherings. WTF?? I went for the first two or three meets, and that was after I heard from my friends about it. I got fed up that I actually paid RM5 for nothing, not even being informed of meetings. I gave up. Burn my RM5. No more music society for me.

It seems, last year the music society actually went dead. So now, they are like trying to revive it. I feel so honoured and shocked. It's like, do I look like a saviour for the society?

Anyway, I did not say no to it, coz I'm actually really interested in leading this society. But then again, I did not say yes too. I'm like, ok, we'll see about it.

So, right now I'm looking for TARcians all over, high and low, who would like to join forces with me. Just join the society and see wazzup wazzup la. I oso like blur blur. Haha. So, if you're interested, please lemme know. Leave me a comment or something with your email or number, I'll get in contact with you. I have yet to see what's going on with the society though.

If I have enough support, I'll probably say yes to the pos.

Awesome ain't it? Come to think of it, it's like paying RM5 to be chairman of the society. LOL.

All bundled into one

It's a HOLIDAY tomorrow!!!

I know, it's like so... totally awesome, girl! Oh no, such a bitch you are...
Like O.M.G.... you just called me a... oh, I can't even say it. I thought we were b.f.f.s?...
What...Ever...

That's how I sometimes talk to myself when I'm all stressed up. Seriously. You must be thinking that I must be nuts talking like such a bimbo. Now I probably understand abit why bimbo's are such crazy people.

Yeah, work has been tough for me. Extreme long hours in the office, with a lot of things to be finished within a certain time. Gosh. I actually stayed in the office till 12 midnight in my second week of internship. But the people are friendly though. Nice people who really keeps the office cheerful and not so serious.
This are photos from Kel's brithday cum our boss's 5th anniversary as boss celebration. Ada Secret Recipe and Champagne u know. All in the office. Hehe.
Cheers!!!
Some of the girls at the office.
I had the chance to go for an event for the company. It was a charity screening of Geng: Pengembaraan Bermula which is supposed to be Malaysia's first 3D animated movie. 3D as in like Pixar movies not IMAX. But it was cool. Even gotto take a photo with the main characters, Upin & Ipin. It was better than expected. he storyline was believable, and in the middle it got pretty scary, much too scary for a kids cartoon. Anyway, the movie screening was for a group of orphans who were sonsored by one of our clients, MDV, to watch the movie.

So, Jason MR.A-Z has come and gone. I didn't go cause it would be tiring for me to go for a concert on a weekday. My bro went though...and as usual, with our free tickets. Yeah, so, where's Rihanna? I have a very very strong feeling (as in confirmed) that she will not be coming. C'mon, especially after all the commotion, the concert wouldn't be the same anyway.

"THIS IS AMERICAN IDOL"
Yes yes. It is the idol season again! And I've already found my favourite for this year. Wait for it...
.

ADAM LAMBERT!

He is so good. I mean, his voice, to me, is like a mixture of Axl Rose, Elvis Presley, Fall Out Boy. Just the best. From the low notes, to the high notes, to sounding like an electric guitar solo.

Of course I have my other favourites too but i have a feeling this is gonna be a guys year. With Danny Gokey, Anoop 'Brown' Dogg, Scott McIntyre. It's a pretty tough forthe girls to compete, although Lil' Rounds shouldn't be too worried.

Yeah, so that's all for now. I won't be updating much anytime soon. Probably will fill you in on the Good Shepherd's Youths Overnight Vigil comin up sometime end of this month.

Work-Fun-Work

Heyya guys, been a busy weekend for me. Remember the job that I had to go to Bukit Tinggi for two days, it was fun. Now, I'm currently into my first week of internship at Fleishman-Hillard. pretty stressed out, but I guess it's just the getting use to part.

Well, I loved the job which i got to go to Bukit Tinggi. Not a very hard job, in fact very fun job. Glad to have Cherry introduce me.

Our boss, Bart was such a fun, free & easy fella. We did a team building progam for managers from the company, Grundfos. Pretty fun to be taking notes of managers' behaviours and personality once in a while. Lol. Here are some photos. Honest ly I'm just too tired to type any more. hahahahaa.....

Uncomfortably/ Happy

I finally got my braces out yesterday. I was so happy to see my teeth in the mirror. So smooth and straight. However I still need to wear retainers for a while. It doesn't look as bad as braces, but it is bloody uncomfortable! Its like two big pieces of plastic in my mouth. And I'm not suppose to take it out 24/7 except when brushing teeth. Who cares, how the hell do you expect me to eat with it in la?...adoi.
Tomorrow I'm off to Bukit Tinggi, Pahang for the team building faci job. I was so glad to read this morning in the papers that Rihanna's concert has been postponed. This means I might have a chance to go see. I had a hunch already about this Friday's concert being called off after reading on the Web on Monday, after the Grammys, that Chris Brown and Rihanna didn't turn up because of some police arrest on Chris Brown. We still are not sure about Rihanna being the victim of Chris Brown's actions...we'll see if one of them comes forward and admits.

What's goin on?

Yay, a burden finally off my chest. The final paper of this terms exams are over. Freaking cyber law! Who cares who sues who... When I need to go to court, I'll probably just get a lawyer to do all the research for me. I did well though... I think. I'm only just very worried bout my PR theories paper. Really screwed that one up. Oh well, whats done is done.

I have an appointment with the orthodontist(that's dentist who does braces, for you, nice teethed buggers) next Tuesday. I really really must insist that they take it out of my mouth this time.
No more postponement!
Bloody hell, twice already they postpone my appointment. I want a mouth without braces already. I wanna blow bubble gums again. Imagine, three years without bubble gum. I know you Singaporeans must be like "Three years only what...we here lifetime you know". Too bad suckers!!!

Rihanna's gonna perform in KL next Friday!!! OMG!! I so want to go! It's like my dream artist is performing in KL. Since last year I was like "If Rihanna comes to KL, I'm so there". I heard the tickets are like almost sold out, and that was last weekend. Oooh, I so love Rihanna. But I did take up a job earlier which "COINCIDENTALLY" falls on Friday too. Well, I'm looking forward to this job anyway. I'm gonna be a facilitator for a corporate team building camp over two days in Bukit Tinggi, Pahang. From what I heard, it's gonna be fun with outdoor activities and all, so pretty excited about it too. Besides, with all the PAS "hoo-ha" about banning Rihanna's concert and all the stupid clothing and performance regulations, I'd rather wait till I go overseas to watch her. C'mon, you know what was PAS reason for banning of the concert? They say that if you watch Rihanna's concert, you are also supporting Israel in the war in Gaza because the tax money which Rihanna pays to the US government goes to all the weapons used by Israel.
Who gives a FUCK about that, man?!!
I did send a text message comment to The Star, but I guess it was too defamatory to be published. They're afraid I'll be arrested under ISA.

I have one week of free time before I start my Industrial Training/Internship at Fleishman-Hillard, one of the top PR firms in Malaysia. Really honoured to be accepted there. I hope I don't screw anything up. Well, at least not too much. Hey, mistakes are a part of learning. Just realised, I won't be seeing my classmtes and coursemates for a whole three months. Miss ya guys, see ya soon.

Belated CNY

Hiya guys,

Hope you all are enjoying this Chinese New Year. Me? I went back to Penang again. Nothing special. Had Western/Filipino/Chinese food for reunion dinner...haha. Fusion they call it.

So it's the year of the Ox, and I've been reading the papers and magazines on what's installed for me this year. You know, those feng shui stuff and like if you're born in the year of whatever...how will this year go for you. So like, I'm born in the year of the snake. I read an article and it said it was a bad year for me, but another article said it was good. So, can you actually believe this stuff? My relatives were like... all this is common sense la, ownself make own destiny la. It's like some of these funny examples:

"You will fall down if you trip."

"Man who puts hand in pocket feels cocky all day."

Confucius say: "If you sleep with itchy backside, you will wake up with smelly finger"

"If you piss in the wind, you will get wet."

Oh btw, try and say it with a chinese accent... makes it a whole lot funnier. Haha. enjoy...

New Year at Maison

Counted down the new year at Maison this time. Hung out with a few college mates, some of which I didn't even know. Who cares? New friend, new year.

The place, the people

The drinks
The wackyness

And the red face...Oh, hi there Cherry.
